Is Arguing Good for Marriage

By Shawn Michaels

It is common belief that couples who do not argue or never fight is a couple who has lost their feelings for one another. In this light, arguments between couples are not so bad as they initially seem. The show that the couple has feelings, and at the end the argument is a manifestation of the love between the couple. Make sure, however, that you don't argue too frequently or it will eventually affect the relationship.

The way you deal with your arguments, is what will ultimately affect your relationship. If you allow arguments to harm your bond between each other, it will destroy the relationship. If you allow arguments to change your judgment or cloud your vision, you will make wrong decisions. Sometimes arguing is necessary for reaching good decisions as a couple but it should be done with mutual respect and good communication, so you don't harm the feelings of your spouse.

Arguments are, at core, based on clash of pride. If you let your pride control you and manifest on your relationship this is how it is going to look, and it is going to harm your relationship. It is better to set it aside for the sake of your marriage, and do not let it affect your relationship and bond. Achieving a solution is usually much more satisfying then continuing to argue.

Many believe that you should not let the day pass without settling a quarrel. It is generally good advice to prevent bad feelings residue stay through the night, and fix the issue at hand easily and while it is still small. Not solving the issue when it begins can lead to a making it bigger and a longer argument. Many couples practice this and they praise it to be effective. Try to reach a compromise before the night is through and you're bound to enjoy many happy days with your loved one.
